Addis Ababa has recently become a member of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), a global organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of tourism in cities. Led by Deputy Mayor Jantirar Abay, a delegation from Addis Ababa is currently attended the WTCF's global conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development 2023 in Beijing, China.

Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa and Head of the Addis Ababa Industrial Development Bureau, Jantrar Abay, has announced the construction of a modern industrial cluster in the capital, with an investment of Birr 7 billion.
The Addis Ababa city administration launched a project which will convert river banks of the city into public parks and green spaces. The project will cost over 29 billion birr (about $1.02).

Addis Ababa registered progress in rail transport maintenance. By the end of the 2025 Ethiopian fiscal year, the number of operational trains in the Addis Ababa Light Rail (AALR) system increased from 13 to 19.
