One of the private insurers in Ethiopia, Abay Insurance S.C., appointed a Sri Lankan company dubbed Informatics International Limited to develop an integrated general and health software system. For the service, which includes supply, install and maintain the system for the coming seven months Abay, has agreed to pay close to 7 million Birr.

When the system goes operational, Abay would be the seventh insurance firm in Ethiopia to have such kind of system. In addition to this, Abay intends to procure hardware materials worth 7 million Birr for the new system.
The new system is said to integrate all of its 22 branches.

It was 6 years ago that Abay was founded and in the last fiscal year the company made 44 million Birr.
