The Ministry of foreign affairs stated that a symposium aimed at increasing trade and investment ties between Ethiopia and China was opened in Addis Ababa yesterday. Ato Anteneh Alemu, Deputy Commissioner of Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), said Ethiopia wanted more Chinese companies to invest in priority sectors adding that the Chinese investors would be provided with all the necessary support from the Ethiopian government.

A trade fair focusing on agriculture, food processing, and plastic printing and packaging technologies is set to take place for three consecutive days from June 1 to 3, 2015 at Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa.
Addis Ababa Abattoirs Enterprise (AAAE) disclosed it will start the construction of a new export standard slaughterhouse that has the capacity of slaughtering 20,000 animals per day. In addition to this, the facility will have an integrated animal byproducts processing center.
The Addis Abeba Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Associations (AACCSA) awarded International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 management certificate on November 15, 2013, Fortune reported.
AACCSA was audited by DQS Ethiopia, an assessments and certifications of management systems firm.
