Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has inaugurated Adama Steel Factory's 5.6 billion birr expansion project. The expansion enables the factory to produce 1.2 million tons of steel per annum.
Ethiopia's Raya Brewery announced it has raised 500 million Ethiopian birr to fund the construction of a new brewing plant.
Located on the outskirts of Maichew, 670km north of the Capital, Addis Ababa in the Tigray regional state, construction of the plant which will have a capacity to produce 600,000 hectoliters of beer annually is scheduled to be completed within a year time.
Ethiopia earned approximately USD 2.6 million from the export of rosemary during the 2022 harvest season. Out of the 49,550 quintals of rosemary produced that season, 49,365 were sent to the central market and 13,799 quintals were exported.
