Efforts will be exerted to enable Mugher Cement Factory to produce cement with full capacity, increasing its production volume and market share, Ethiopia's Minister of Mines and Petroleum Takele Uma remarked.
The Minister made the remark while visiting the factor along with members of Ethiopia's Chemical Industry Corporation Board of Directors.
Mr. Takele said Mugher Cement's production volume is disproportionate when compared to the abundance of natural resources available in the area.
Consequently, the Minister related, there will be an increment in production capacity to raise the factory's market share from the now 25 percent.
A state-owned cement factory located 105km west of Addis Ababa, Mugher Cement Factory produces ordinary portland cement (OPC) and portland pozzolana cement (PPC).
