Ethiopia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China on February 21, 2023 in Beijing to establish an economic cooperation group which was aimed at enhancing economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The year 2020 would be "historic" for Ethiopia-China ties, Tan Jian, Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia said in a press conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He expressed expectations for ties between the two countries to strengthen in economy, capacity building, hi-tech, politics, health, and education.
Ethiopian Electric Power and the Corbetti Geothermal Company have concluded power purchase agreement on July 27, 2015, for the first 500 Megawatts, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
Ethiopian Investment Commission and Center for the promotion of Investments in Côte d’lvoire (CEPICI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen commercial exchanges, implement joint investment projects and boost economic cooperation and the like, between the two countries.
The Ethiopian government signed a loan agreement of €117.3 million with Danske Bank A/S to finance the Assela Wind Farm project.
