Ethiopia's Meta Abo Brewery Launched a Non-alcoholic Malt Drink
Ethiopia's Meta Abo Brewery S.C. has launched a non-alcoholic malt drink to venture into the non-alcoholic beverage market.
A particular segment of the society the company identified as being a potential customer base is the Muslim population of Ethiopia, which because of its religious drink is prohibited from drinking alcoholic drinks.
Takele Uma, Ethiopia's Minister of Mines, said his Ministry, along with the Ethiopian Investment Commission, have discussed with owners of cement factories on logistics issues.
Ethiopia's Ministry of Finance said it has prepared an additional budget of 122 billion birr, and presented it for approval to the Council of Ministers.
Ethiopia's Ministry of Revenues announced that it has collected over $1.15 million (42.2 million birr) during the Ethiopian fiscal year that started July 7, 2020. This has shown a 10.7 percent increase compared to the same period of last year, the Ministry pointed out, and stands at 107 percent of the target set for the two months, which was 39.43 million birr.
