The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group had extended USD 30 million soft loan to Ethiopia, Benin and Côte d’Ivoire for the purpose of membership subscriptions in the African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI).

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced that Ethiopia will begin producing and exporting gas to the global market next year, following the completion of gas transmission infrastructure in the Somali Region. Speaking before the House of People’s Representatives, he confirmed that gas sales are expected to start early next year.
Ethiopia will begin producing 5.5 million face masks per day to meet the growing demand in face masks that resulted from the recent spike in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country.
