Ethiopia to be Rising Star in Travel Post COVID-19, Forbes Predicts

aijata-shallaForbes predicts Ethiopia to be one of seven countries it said, "have potential to become major tourist destinations in a post-COVID world."

Putting Ethiopia on the top of the list, Forbes said the seven countries have been "highly underrated," despite having all the "ingredients" - pristine natural beauty, historic ruins, and fascinating cultural experiences.

"Out of the 54 nations that make up Africa, one could make the argument that Ethiopia has the most fascinating historic background - it was the second civilization on earth to adopt Christianity, the only African nation to defeat a European power in battle and resist colonialism during the Scramble for Africa, and it’s believed that our earliest human ancestors first came from this fertile region," the article read. It further alluded to the natural beauty of Ethiopia, its rich history, and its national cuisine - injera.

Other than Ethiopia, Forbes included Iran, Myanmar (Burma), Georgia, the Philippines, Slovenia, and Tunisia in the list.
