Ethiopia Earns USD 118.1 Million from Regional Electricity Exports

The Ethiopian Livestock Development Institute (LDI) has announced that the country generated USD 120 million from the export of meat and slaughter by-products during the recently concluded Ethiopian fiscal year.

The Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration announced that agricultural exports had generated over USD 172.9 million during the first three months of the 2023/2024 fiscal year.

Ethiopia gained more than USD two billion in the past nine months from the export of agricultural commodities including coffee, khat, vegtables, poultry products, dairy products, and fruits.

Ethiopia’s export sector continues to show progress, generating USD 2.6 billion in revenue during the past five months, largely driven by agricultural exports, according to State Minister of Trade and Regional Integration Yasmin Wohabrebbi.
