Ethiopia Agrees with China to Boost Cooperation in Construction
Ethiopia has agreed with Chinese firms to boost cooperation in the construction sector, the Ethiopia Ministry of Urban Development and Construction (MoUDC) on Wednesday.

Ethiopia is targeting to produce more than 65 tons of gold in the just started fiscal year from 3 different states, even if gold export fell to meet its target last fiscal year. The production is said to take place in State of Tigray, State of Oromia and State of Benishangul Gumuz.
Mines, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister disclosed Ethiopia aims at more than 770 million USD from the mining sector. Such was disclosed by the State Minister for the Ministry, Tewodros Gebre Egziabher.
Ethiopia’s Government aims to set up wind power projects that can create 1,500 Megawatts during the second Growth and Transformation Plan Period (GTP II). The government intends to work on the projects by its own capacity.
For the just started fiscal year, Ethiopia is aiming to make 271 million USD from the export of textile products. Along with the export, the country plans to create 30,000 new jobs through the textile sub sector.
