Melba Printing, Publishing and Packaging plant, a printing and packaging factory built at a cost of over $32 million (1.4 billion birr), has been inaugurated. The plant has a capacity of producing over 138,000 books a day, 50 million a year. The plant is located in the town of Gelan, in Ethiopia's Oromia region.
National Airways, a private airline established last year, announced that it was preparing to float shares to the public.
Established with a 10 million birr capital in July 2010, National Airways was licensed by the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) and the Ethiopian Investment Agency.
Private airlines in Ethiopia established an association which they dubbed “Ethiopian Private Airlines Association”.
The Private Sector Development Hub is to be transferred to Ethiopia’s national chamber by the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations as of April. 
The transfer has been a point of contention between the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and its counterpart for the city of Addis Ababa with both laying claim to the management of the PSD hub.
The leaders of the ACCSA and the ECCSA agreed to set up a steering committee co-chaired by the presidents of both chambers to make decisions on strategy and policy directions in regards to projects to be undertaken by the hub.
The Ethiopian Privatization and Public Enterprises Supervising Agency (PPESA) has offered the Ethiopian Mineral Development S.C. for full acquisition, Capita reported.
