Ethiopian Taxi-hailing and booking service RIDE, provided by the technology company Hybrid Designs PLC, on Friday said it will re-launch a premium internet based taxi hailing service in Addis Ababa the coming year, revamping its platform from its previous SMS centered infrastructure.
Ries Engineering S.C. (RESCO), which is thean importer and distributer of Ford vehicles and various machineries in Ethiopia,, had has launched its first Quick Lane Vehicle Tier and Auto Service Center in Bahir Dar, Amhara, at a cost of 60 million Birr.
The road that connectes Ethiopia and Kenya, Yabelo-Mega road, is inaugurated and is open for traffic.
Construction of the highway linking Ethiopia with Kenya is expected to be completed by the end of the year 2015.
Merile-Marsabit-Moyale road that is built to connect Kenya and Ethiopia is near completion, according to Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) official.
