Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) sets plans to undertake a feasibility study to join Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) as a budgetary public enterprise. The Commission is currently an autonomous government institution which is accountable to Ethiopia’s Investment Board. If it decides to join EIH when it completes its feasibility study, it will be the 28th public enterprise under the investment holdings.

EIH was founded in January 2022 as a holding company to become the strategic investment arm of the Government of Ethiopia responsible for providing professional oversight and optimizing commercial assets to unlock value.
Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) announced its Diaspora Investment Forum and Exhibition will be launched tomorrow, January 11, 2022. The forum, expected to have 500 to 800 participants, is aimed at promoting "priority sectors" identified by the Ethiopian government.

The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) has outlined its strategy to attract significant foreign direct investment (FDI) in the current fiscal year. The Commission aims to issue 386 new investment licenses and generate USD 4.52 billion from FDI.
Ethiopian Investment conferences are to be held in North California and Los Angeles on the 4th and 11 of February respectively. The conferences are planned to discuss opportunities for investment available in Ethiopia for members of the Ethiopian Diaspora.
The conferences to be held under the title “Collaborative Investing by the Ethiopian Diaspora in the U.S.” are a continuation of the inaugural efforts began in Washington D.C which attracted notable media coverage and a significant number of attendees according to organizers.
