The event was graced by H.E. Mr. Getachew Mengistie, State Minister of Transport of the FDRE, H.E. Mr. Tadesse Haile, State Minister of Industry, H.E Mr. Lee Yi Shan, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines and other invited guests.
The Ethiopian Commodities Exchange (ECX) is to offer 80 more full membership seats according to members. The seats will
be offered to traders who have had limited membership rights so far. The additional seats will be sold in auction in November.
The auction will only be made open to those who have been involved in trading at the ECX.
Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX) announced it traded commodities worth over $71 million (2.1 billion birr) in the month of September 2019. During the twenty days of trading in the month, the Exchange traded 21,525 tons of Coffee, 7,111 tons of Soya Bean, 5,083 tons of Green Mung Beans, 3,994 tons of Sesame and 858 tons of White Pea Bean.
Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX) said it traded commodities amounting to a worth of 3.3 billion birr in the month of April.
