The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a total grant of US$ 660,621 to seven Ethiopian enterprises operating in the livestock sector, Fortune reported.
The Ethiopian Enterprise Development (EED) is actively engaged in fostering the establishment of new ventures to cultivate enterprises that contribute to foreign currency generation. During a recent stakeholder discussion, EED Director General Alebachew Nigussie (PhD) emphasized the organization's collaborative endeavors with partners to enhance the productivity of existing enterprises, with a particular focus on the manufacturing sector.
The Documents Authentication and Registration Service (DARS) has announced that it has processed 897,071 cases and received over Birr 1.77 billion in the 2022/2023 fiscal year. Alemshet Meshesha, the service's Public Relations and Communication Director, stated that they had achieved their set plan for the period.
Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway Share Company transported vehicles for the first time. The shipment of 25 vehicles arrived today in Addis Ababa. The company announced that it had a capacity of transporting 240 vehicles with a single trip.
It was reported that the transport services of the railway were preferable in terms of speed, price, and automobile safety. Transporting vehicles from the port of Djibouti using trucks takes days.
The railway company was established in 2017 with an initial capital of USD 500 million based on the bilateral investment agreement between Ethiopia and Djibouti which was signed in December 2016.
