The 6th hotel show Africa was inaugurated in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Thursday. The hotel show is aimed at connecting domestic and global travel market players and hotel operators.

Mohamed Andris, Director-General of Ethiopian Diaspora Service, called the diaspora to make Ethiopia a hub of interest free financial sector stating that reforms undertaken by the Ethiopian Government answered the requests of the diaspora. The Director-General’s speech was heard during the closing ceremony of the Eid-to-Eid Homecoming.

The Federal Transport Authority announced last week that it had started electronic service (e-service) to deliver 18 online services.

Federal Transport Authority Director-General Abdissa Yadeta said the transport sector created social linkages and supported economic development, but delivering swift and modern service was challenging.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia announced that it had broadened its foreign missions over the already ending fiscal year focusing on business diplomacy. Four new missions were established and one embassy was relocated, the Ministry stated.

With a view to to ease challenges in the industry and improve the effectiveness of its service delivery, The Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Natural Gas of Ethiopia is reorganizing itself and formulating new policies. Six committees, which will oversee the reform, will be set up from the Office of state ministers, the Ethiopian Geological Survey and the Ministry itself.
