The Southwestern Ethiopian Peoples’ Regional State has delivered 150 kilograms of gold to the National Bank of Ethiopia during the current fiscal year, falling short of its initial target.
Draft bill has been submitted to the parliament in the aim of issuing Special Government Bond which will serve as capital injection for Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE). The bonds are worth 2.56 billion Birr and bear no interest.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called partner institutions to work together for the advancement of electronic visa services. The Ministry held a virtual meeting on Tuesday with stakeholders on the provision of advanced and timely consular services. The meeting saw the attendance of the State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, Ambassadors, and other officials.
With the aim of solving the problems in the livestock sector, the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration held a discussion with livestock exporters. Kassahun Gofe, Minister of State for Trade Integration and Export Promotion at the Ministry, stated that all stakeholders should work towards bringing solution to solve the problems seen in the livestock sector. According to the State Minister, the Ministry is working with relevant parties to address the issue and has collaborated with Customs Commission and Federal Police to prevent livestock smuggling.
Thirty-eight hotels in Addis Ababa were awarded five to one star, in the rating going on for the last few months in association with the Ministry of Culture and World Tourism Organization.
