Repi's Solid Waste Power Station has resumed full power generation after the maintenance of the power generation turbine was completed on September 9, 2023. The turbine had been out of service for more than a year due to a minor breakdown and a shortage of spare parts.
Restaurants, lodges and motels in Ethiopia are going to be rated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The rating is going to be based on the level of services they provide for which they will be rated from 1 to 5 stars.
Ethiopian Sugar Corporation disclosed, restoration of Methara Sugar Factory, one of the sugar factories in Ethiopia – where the supply can’t meet the demand – has reached 90 percent completion rate. The restoration job was needed following the damaged that caused by a storm.
The Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) announced, it has collected 25.3 billion Ethiopian birr revenue from various income titles during the first quarter of the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year, ERTA reported.

Reykjavik Geothermal, the Icelandic geothermal development company, plans to launch drilling on its US$ 2 billion project in Ethiopia by July, Chief Operating Officer Gunnar Orn Gunnarsson said.
