Raya Brewery S.C., a new entry to Ethiopia’s beer market, is intending to construct its own malt factory adjacent to its brewery plant.

Raya Brewery S.C. inaugurated the plant it built in Northern Ethiopia, Tigray State Maichew Town. The inauguration ceremony took place in the capital of the state, Mekele.

Redawa Motors PLC signed an MoU with Ethiopian Investment Commission to form Redawa Industrial Park. The industrial park has a total investment capital of ETB 5 billion birr and is located in Dire Dawa.

The industrial park is the first industrial park to be developed by a local investor. It will host companies which are engaged in various economic sectors including automotive parts assembly, copper products manufacturing, and purification and bottling of water. It also plans to export its products to neighboring countries.

RedFox Solutions Group launched its data center, RedFox Modular Data Center (RFETH-MDC01), in the country’s ICT Park located in Addis Ababa. The data center which was built at a cost of USD 130 million is the first of the data centers which are planned to be constructed by RedFox Group.

The group, which was established by 10 Ethiopian Diaspora, started construction of the data center a year ago on 2,400 square meters of land which has now created job opportunities for 72 Ethiopians.

The South Nations Nationalities and People Regional State Revenue Authority announced that it has collected over 2.9 billion Ethiopian birr income in the concluded Ethiopian Fiscal Year.

The Authority's Deputy Director, Tadesse  Merd, told Walta Information Center, the revenue was collected from direct and indirect taxes as well as municipality service.
