Raya Brewery S.C., one of the late entrants to Ethiopia’s market, sustained loss close to 104 million Birr in the past fiscal year. The company’s annual report was released during the shareholders meeting held on Saturday, December 10, 2016.
In two weeks time Raya Brewery S.C. is going to start testing its factory aiming to start producing beer by the end of December.
Raya Brewery S.C., a new entry to Ethiopia’s beer market, is intending to construct its own malt factory adjacent to its brewery plant.
Raya Brewery S.C. inaugurated the plant it built in Northern Ethiopia, Tigray State Maichew Town. The inauguration ceremony took place in the capital of the state, Mekele.
Redawa Motors PLC signed an MoU with Ethiopian Investment Commission to form Redawa Industrial Park. The industrial park has a total investment capital of ETB 5 billion birr and is located in Dire Dawa.
The industrial park is the first industrial park to be developed by a local investor. It will host companies which are engaged in various economic sectors including automotive parts assembly, copper products manufacturing, and purification and bottling of water. It also plans to export its products to neighboring countries.
