Ethiopia: Omo Valley Fails to Attract Any Bidder
Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) had failed to attract any bidder after foreclosing Omo Valley Farm Cooperation. The farm, which is 10,000 hectares of cotton farm, is being auctioned for 166.5 million Birr default loan.

The construction of Omo-Kuraz I sugar factory is 80 percent complete and it is expected to go fully operational in the coming Ethiopian year, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
Ethiopia: One Thousand Farmers are Licensed to Export Coffee, Coffee and Tea Authority
Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority disclosed that more than 1,000 farmers were licensed to export coffee during the past three years. Among these farmers, 100 have been able to export coffee directly to foreign markets.
