The Ethiopian Ministry of Urban Development & Construction (MoUCD) has drafted a regulation to establish the Ethiopian Construction Project Management Institute.

Ethiopia has earned US$419 million from export of minerals supplied by artisanal miners in the 11 months of the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year, according to the Ministry of Mines.

Construction of an irrigation dam for the 4.8 billion Ethiopian Birr Wolkayit Sugar Development Project will be launched soon, the Ethiopian Sugar Corporation said.

The Ethiopian Ministry of Industry launched its second phase private-sector capacity building project through the Ethiopian Competitiveness Facility (ECF). The project is have 4 million pounds budget financed by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

The Ethiopian Ministry of Urban Development & Construction is planning to draft a law  that will regulate rental home provision, by private home owners and the government.

The National Bank of Ethiopia have awarded Oberthur Technologies, a French currency printing company,  printing contract of five Birr notes worth three billion Ethiopian Birr, Fortune reported.

The Central Bank selected  the company three weeks ago, out of five companies which participated in the bid. The German-based, Gieseck & Devrient; Switzerland’s, Swiss Crane; the Swedish, EnSKEDE and the UK’s, De La Rue, responded to the tender, along with Oberthur Technologies.

Lufthansa, the German-based airliner is to  enhance its partnership with Ethiopian in 2013, according to a press briefing held in Addis Ababa on June 10, 2013.

Lufthansa is aiming to enhance its stake by five percent in 2013 from the previous year, Carsten Schaeffer, Lufthansa's vice-president for sales and services, South-East Europe, Middle East and Africa said.

In 2012, more than 80,000 passengers were served through the partnership between Lufthansa and Ethiopian, however, Carsten  declined to reveal the revenue collected from the services. Ethiopia has earned  US$111.1 million from the export of leather products over the past eleven months of the current Ethiopian Fiscal year, according to the Leather and Industry Development Institute (LIDI).
