The Ethiopian Roads Authority awarded Enyi Construction to construct the 37 KM road linking the factories of Omo Kuraz Sugar Project, on September 17,2013, Fortune reported.

The design and construction contract of the 65.1 million Ethiopian Birr project was signed on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Authority's headquarters.

The road will be fully financed by the Ethiopian government as part of the Fourth Road Sector Development Program. The project which will include the construction of four bridges is scheduled to be completed after two years.

Enyi was selected among seven other bidders, including the China Railway No. 3 Engineering Group and Yencomad Construction.

The Authority is processing tenders for other six road projects along the Omo Kuraz Sugar Factories, according to Fortune.

Enyi Construction is a grade one contractor established in 2004.
