A coffee plantation owned by the legendary Ethiopian long distance athlete Haile Gebreselassie has officially launched planting coffee on 1,500 hectare plantation located in Sheka zone, Souther Regional State.

Representatives six Italian textile machinery manufacturing companies visited Ethiopia and held a discussion with Ethiopian businesses on Tuesday 02 July 2013 at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.

“Ethiopia is a country with great prospects that is willing to invest in order to allow its textile sector to continually grow. The Ethiopian Geological Survey is set to enhance the country’s geological mapping coverage to 80 percent by 2015. Tolossa Shagi Moti, State Minister of Mines,said at a stakeholders’ consultative meeting, held on 5 July 2013 at the Ghion Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Under the five year Growth and Transformation Plan, the Ethiopian Geological Survey will increase the
coverages of gravity survey, hydro-geological mapping and engineering geology.

Guangdong Chuanhui Group, a private Chinese developer has announced plan to build  Africa’s tallest building by 2017 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  The site for the Chuanhui International Tower, 99-story office-hotel tower, is around the Addis Ababa Exhibition Center.
