In the draft amendment registration criteria for contractors in all categories have changed based on the grade for which the contractor is applying. The area where the plantation is located is said to have abundant rainfall and nutrient-rich soil, ideal conditions for growing coffee. The project comprises the construction of five of the 10 sugar factories planned to be built across the country by the end of the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) period. Under the five year Growth and Transformation Plan, the Ethiopian Geological Survey will increase the
coverages of gravity survey, hydro-geological mapping and engineering geology.
The Ethiopian National Standards Council has approved 1,097 standards for a range of sectors of the economy.
At a press conference held on June 28, the Ethiopian Standards Agency announced that out of the 1,097 standards approved, 268 are new standards, while 829 are revised versions of existing standards.
