Seven Seas Technologies (SST), a Kenyan integrated information technology services provider, is set to open an office in Addis Ababa.
The Kenyan SST said that it was going to invest nearly one million dollars in its move to register a strong market presence within the horn of Africa region.
SST's venture into the Ethiopian market is powered by a joint venture agreement with Netcom Limited an Ethiopian company.
When its new office starts operating in Addis Ababa, SST will provide services like core banking, business intelligence, business applications, infrastructure solutions, customer relationship management and related services for the Ethiopian market, Michael Macharia, founder of SST, said.SST has previously provided IT solutions services in Ethiopia to Awash International Bank, Bank of Abyssinia and Dashen Bank.
SST has designed and deployed connectivity inter-branch communication and connectivity to the banking applications of Awash International Bank at the headquarters and across its branch network in Ethiopia. At the Bank of Abyssinia, SST is currently rolling out a 700,000 dollar project to design, install and commission an ultra-modern data centre at the Bank's headquarters in Addis Ababa.
