Ethiopia: LRT Received U.S. $ 150,000 Loan
Addis Ababa Light Rail Transit project (LRT) received a U.S. $ 150,000 loan from the United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS) after the project was registered as clean and environmentally friendly project. This is in addition to the U.S. $ 20 Million loan Ethiopian Railway Corporation (ERC) applied for at different climate financiers around the world.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) based, Al Ghurair Group, is going to set up an aluminum factory in joint venture with Tracon Trading Plc at an outlay of U.S. $ 50 Million here in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Airlines announced it has won the Passenger Choice Awards as the “Best Airline in Africa” at the APEX 2014 EXPO. The Airline won the award second time in a row.
Commercial Bank of Ethiopia awarded Computer Business Machines (CBM), a Lebanese IT vendor, a contract for the supply and installation of 200 Automatic Teller Machines (ATM). The ATMs are said to be worth 51 Million Birr.
