APL Logistics Ltd. has officially appointed Champion Shipping PLC as their new local strategic partner to support their domestic logistics, international freight forwarding, and associated services in Ethiopia. APL Logistics will spearhead efforts to manage the milk run logistics to serve the growing need for export services by the Ethiopian customers.
The Ethiopia-based aviation services company, Krimson, obtained an aviation license by the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA). The license Krimson obtained is one of the first few business aviation licenses being issued by ECAA.

Out of the $28.4 million, $17.5 million is earned from Djibouti, while the rest, $10.9 million came from the export to Sudan.

Ethiopia’s mega dam on the Nile River, the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) will be completed in four years, by 2022, a senior official said.
The GERD, which was originally scheduled to be completed and go operational in 2017, was launched in April 2011. This comes at least four years behind schedule, which is mainly due to defects with the hydro electrical plant’s equipment.
