The Central Ethiopia Region has attracted 268 investors, contributing more than Birr 13.4 billion in capital, according to the region's Investment and Industry Office.
Demsew Bachore, Deputy Head of the Industrial Sector, revealed that an index map has been created to highlight the region’s potential in tourism, agriculture, and industry.
Demsew stated that efforts are ongoing to promote investment, resulting in 85 investors entering the manufacturing sector, with a capital of over Birr 7 billion. Some of these businesses are already in production, while others are nearing completion.
More than 44,000 job opportunities, both permanent and temporary, have been created as a result of this influx of investments. To further support growth, over 1,500 hectares of industrial zones have been designated for investors in various cities across the region.
