Melaku Alebel, the Minster of Industry of Ethiopia, announced that the construction of three integrated agro-industrial parks (IAIPs) was completed during the last three years. According to the Minister, Bulbula IAIP, Yirgalem IAIP, and Bure IAIP are ready to accept investors and together registered 94 investors. Six of the registered investors have already started production, it is reported.

The Ministry of Industry also stated that three of the investors who started production in the IAIPs were able to collectively generate a revenue of USD 16.2 million from exports.

The Ministry of Industry also revealed that 42 investors promised to enter Bulbula IAIP. A promotional program for Bulbula IAIP was prepared by the Ministry last week. Bulbula IAIP has the capacity to host 135 investors.
