The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority disclosed that Ethiopia has collected a revenue of $107 million from March 10 to April 2021. The amount has been earned from exporting 27,000 tones of coffee. This, the Authority stated, is a record high earning from coffee for a month's period.
The greatly improved earning from coffee exports has been attributed to a vertical integration all the way from coffee farmers to vendors. The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority also recalled it has implemented working procedures to ease the process and to shorten the coffee production-to-market chain.
