Ethiopia's Bishoftu Power Station Ready to go Operational

251 communications logoEthiopia's Bishoftu Electric Power Distribution Station Project, built at a cost of $25 million, is now ready to go operational. The station is endowed with a potential of 400/230/15 kilovolt.

Dawit GebreEgziabher, Manager of the Bishoftu Power Station Project, said the station has undergone testing procedures successfully, FBC reported. Hence, electric transmission lines that are 46 kilometers long have been installed to connect the project with a substation.

Bishoftu Power Distribution Station is believed to be of great significance to ensure sustained power supply to industries in and around the town of Bishoftu, as well as to thousands of households.
