The Ethiopian Ministry of Revenues announced that it has collected over $5.45 billion (183 billion birr) in the last nine months. This, the Ministry announced is 96 percent of the 190.7 billion birr target it set for the period.

The revenue collected during the nine months is 25.6 percent more than what was collected in the same period last year.

Lake Ayalew, Minister of Revenues, In a virtual performance evaluation held yesterday, said more efforts will be made to step up his Ministry’s income generation capacity.

The Ethiopian Ministry of Revenues plans to collect a total of 270.2 billion birr by the end of the Ethiopian fiscal year in July.
