Tomonius Corporations Ltd, a Japanese company, signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ethiopian Investment Commission that will enable it to construct a Japanese owned special zone in one of Ethiopia’s industry parks, Bole Lemi II Industrial Park.
The signing ceremony was attended by 20 Japanese companies led by Tomonius. Mitsubishi Corporation, NIKKEI Inc and Toshiba Africa Ltd were among the companies that attended the ceremony.
“Ethiopia is the fastest growing economy in the world in the year 2017 with over 54 million productive labor force,” Belachew Mekuria (PhD), industrial park deputy commissioner, explained for the representatives of the companies.
According to Tomonius Director, Otsubu Hiroshi, Tomonius secured 30 hectares of land in Bole Lemi II Industrial Park.
