Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC) disclosed it built more than 75 manufacturing workshops all over Ethiopia.

According to the Director General of the Corporation, Major General Kinfe Dagnew, the workshops are built in selected colleges and technical education and vocational training (TVET) institutes. The workshops were furnished with sufficient machinery, the Major General explained.

The workshops were built at a cost greater than half a billion Birr, Kinfe explained. According to him the workshops are built in all 9 states of Ethiopia and its 2 city administration.

Entrepreneurs engaged in small and micro enterprises are expected to benefit from the training that will be provided at the workshops. The trainings are going to be on agro-processing, metals, textile and garments as well as leather and leather products
