Egyptian Companies to Construct their Own Industrial Park in Ethiopia

Egyptian companies are to build their own industrial park in Ethiopia at a cost of 120 million US dollars. The companies have asked the Ethiopian government to offer them 200 hectares of land, Fana Boradcasting Corporate reported.

Commercial Councilor at the Embay of Egypt in Ethiopia Egyptian companies, Waleed El Zomar, stated that the Egyptians companies had asked the Ethiopian government to construct their own industrial parks.

Mr. Waleed added that the Egyptian investors had been offered a proposal by the Ethiopian government to establish their own park in designated industrial corridors, including Hawassa, Dire Dawa, Mekelle and other areas.

Director of the Ethio-Egyptian Business Council, Mr. Melaku Juhar, asserted that three big companies from Egypt are ready to invest in the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical and medical sectors.

The Egyptian Embassy announced that it was organizing a seminar o cover many of the sectors of medical industries such as pharmaceuticals, veterinary medicine, medicine supplies, cosmetics and medical tourism.

The seminar will be attended by Health Ministers of Ethiopia and Egypt as well as Ambassadors of the two countries, including the largest and most reputable pharmaceutical companies in Egypt.
