The fifth International Multi-disciplinary Conference and Workshop is to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia starting from December 14-18 December 2015, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
The Conference on brain sharing, knowledge and technology exchange prepares a ground for knowledge and technology exchange.
Dr.Tewabech Bishaw, Founder and Managing Director of Alliance for Brain-Gain and Innovative Development (ABIDE), told journalists the Global Knowledge Exchange Network (GKEN) Conference targets at sharing helpful information.
She said the Conference is expected to come up with, “concrete examples, suggestions and recommendations from academicians, researchers and higher learning institutions as well as policy makers.” It might also bring forth recommendations which help facilitate knowledge exchange among Ethiopians residing in and outside Ethiopia.
Dr.Samuel Kifle, Director-General of Higher Education Academic and Research Affairs at the Ministry of Education, said the Conference would be an additional hand in assisting the ongoing sustainable development in Ethiopia.
Kora Tishune, vice President of Business and Development at Jimma University, on his part said Diaspora Ethiopians have potentials in addressing human resource challenges via improving the quality of education in universities and colleges.
