Kanoria Africa Textiles, a sister company to Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Ltd, has set up an integrated Denim fabric manufacturing plant in Bishoftu, Ethiopia.

Ethiopia’s Premier Hailemariam Desalegn has inaugurated the plant.

The integrated Denim project is the first of its kind in East Africa.

The company has invested USD 50 million to set up the plant. The plant’s initial annual Denim fabric production capacity is 12 million meters, Kanoria chemicals & Industries stated in a BSE filing.
