The Embassy of Germany in Ethiopia said the first Africa-Germany trade conference was held in Berlin from September 7-8, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) reported.

The press release the Embassy sent to ENA states, high government officials and members of the business community of Germany had attended the conference.

Moreover, the African Union, East African Community, Southern Africa and West Africa had attended the event, the press release reads.

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the conference highlighted the challenges and opportunities of sub-Saharan Africa and emboldens the participation of high ranking business representatives to invest and discover the chances of doing business in Africa as well.
