Ethiopia’s flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, announced it has started flying daily to Arbaminch, Gambella, Jigjiga and Assosa towns.

According to the Ethiopian News Agency, the Airline is reportedly flying to the towns since Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

Commenting on the situation, CEO of the Airline, Tewolde Gebremariam, noted daily flights to the towns will give travelers from Ethiopia and the outside world, the chance to make their trek whenever they want.

Tewolde further said the daily flights will connect the towns directly with the outside world and it will boost the domestic flight service in line with the Airline’s “Vision 2025”. He added, after a decade the total local destinations for the Airline will reach 26 from 18, where it stands now.

Ethiopian has made a 40 percent discount on all it’s domestic flight for the purpose of increasing competitive edge and become the first choice for travelers.
