Megech Seraba pump irrigation project, one of the projects being undertaken by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity (MWIE), will be finalized before the end of the current fiscal year. However, the project, which was commenced 9 years ago, took 6 more years from the scheduled time. Th delay is said to be because of problems on the original design.
Meisso-Dewele Railway Project, which is being constructed at the cost of USD 1.9 Billion has reached 65 percent completion rate.

Mekele Industrial Park has completed preparatory works and is now ready to resume full operations, according to Fitsum Ketma, the Head of Transformation Department at the Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC). Fitsum emphasized that IPDC had been working diligently by sending a team to Mekele city to monitor the status of the Industrial Park and undertake necessary preparatory works to restore it to full operations.
The Mekele Industrial Park in Ethiopia is back in business. After a two-year pause due to the Tigray conflict, the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) announced the park's successful return to full-scale production. Existing companies have already restarted operations, and the park is attracting fresh interest from new investors.
