Ethiopia: Memorandum of Understanding Signed for One Window Technology
Ten government agencies and a trade association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here in Ethiopia on Saturday, June 21, 2014 for the execution of project called One Window Technology for International Trade. The project is estimated to cost U.S $ 7.3 Million and expected to save the country 16 Billion Birr in two years time.
Messebo Cement Factory PLC, one of the cement producers in Ethiopia, procured MAN transport trucks for 700 million Birr in the aim of cutting transportation cost and be competitive in the local market.
Diageo’s Meta Abo Brewery disclosed it is on the final stages of its U.S. $ 1 Billion expansion work that will enable it in a few months time to double its production.
Meta collaborated with the Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS) and Summer Media to launch Meta Boost, a business program which provides opportunities for micro, small, and medium business owners to learn about utilizing digital tools for business. The program also helps business owners to get insights on how to create meaningful relationships with customers.
