Ethiopian Investment Commission (EInC) announced more than 200 new and 53 expansion projects with has 21 billion Birr registered capital were licensed in the past six months of Ethiopia’s fiscal year.

The Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) signed an agreement with three companies which will enter Hawassa, Adama, and Kilinto Industrial Parks. The companies named Long March Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, NK World Medical Equipment Manufacturing, and Warka Trading, will be investing Birr 486 million in textile and pharmaceutical sectors.

TOYO Solar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) to invest USD 60 million in establishing its first solar cell manufacturing plant in Ethiopia. The new facility will be located in the Hawassa Industrial Park.
