An international mining conference under the title “Ethiopian International Mining Conference” will be held in Addis Ababa from September 23-24, 2015, according to The Reporter.

The city administration's Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau announced plans to outsource 46 government services to third-party providers. This initiative aims to improve service delivery and allow government institutions to focus on broader societal issues.

Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa is going to have a new land lease pricing benchmark by the coming Ethiopian year. The new pricing benchmark is going to put in to consideration cost benefit analysis.

Addis Ababa Trade Bureau is constructing new shopping centers and expanding existing ones in all five entrance areas of the city to combat price inflation and product shortages. Mr. Mesfen Assefa, the Deputy Head of the Bureau, stated that the new shopping centers would be located in Aqaqi, Sebeta, Ambo, Sululta, and Tafo gates, where agricultural products are widely used.

The Addis Ababa Trade Bureau reported that 99 percent of its services were delivered digitally during the 2024/25 fiscal year. The Bureau also announced that it took enforcement action against 36,800 illegal traders, reducing unlicensed commercial activities in the capital.
