Ethiopia: Addis Ababa to Host International Mining Conference

An international mining conference under the title “Ethiopian International Mining Conference” will be held in Addis Ababa from September 23-24, 2015, according to The Reporter.

The event It is going to be organized by a UK-based conference and exhibition organizer, AME Trade Ltd in cooperation with the Ethiopian Ministry of Mines. The Ethiopian International Mining Conference (EMIC) will display cases and explore developments in Ethiopia’s flourishing mining sector and concentrate on prospective opportunities, lessons learned by key investors and formation of new business partnerships, said AME Trade in a statement sent to The Reporter.

International and local mining companies, exploration mining equipment and machineries manufacturers, geological laboratories and other stakeholders will participate at the two-day conference and exhibition, according to the company. It furthered, the conference would be advantageous in giving potential investors the oportunity to be acquainted with business information about Ethiopia’s mining industry.

Ethiopia is endowed with significant undeveloped deposits of mineral resources together with Gold, Potash, Tantalum, Platinum and other industrial and chemical minerals.
