Ethio-South African business forum on on the investment and trade opportunities accessible in both Ethiopia and South Africa was held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Washington Hotel in Addis Ababa,The Daily Monitor reported.
The Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, in partnership with the African Civil Aviation Commission, has organized a two days’ workshop under the theme “The Acceleration of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM) Ethiopian Stakeholders Roadshow” with a view to accelerating the Single African Air Transport Market. The workshop will be held between May 10 and 11, 2023, in Addis Ababa.
Addis Ababa is hosting the IGAD Fisheries Coordination Platform Workshop which reflects on the performance and activities of the IGAD ECOFISH program at national and IGAD levels. The three days workshop which will be closed on August 18 is also aimed at strengthening inter-regional collaboration of the IGAD sub-region to promote sustainable, inclusive, and integrated management of fishery resources.
Ethiopia’s State Minister of Agriculture Fikru Regassa, IGAD’s Executive Secretary representative Abebe M. Beyene, and Madev Ballo, Regional Manager of EU’s Regional Sustainable Fisheries Management Program for Eastern Africa, Southern Africa, and Indian Ocean Region are among the participants of the workshop.
Addis Ababa hosted the International Pharmaceuticals Suppliers’ Conference today aiming to attract manufacturers and suppliers into the local pharmaceuticals market. During the conference, the Ministry of Health and Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Supply Service (EPSS) called investors to increase their engagement in pharmaceuticals manufacturing.
According to the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Taddesse, stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector need to create a strong collaboration in order to improve the pharmaceuticals supply chain and the business relationship of EPSS with its suppliers.
The 8th Hortiflora International Expo opened in Addis Ababa, Millennium Hall, yesterday in the presence of Girma Amente – Minister of Agriculture, Mesfin tafessew – CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, and Nega Mekuanint – Board Chairman of Ethiopian Horticulture Producers’ and Exporters’ Association (EHPEA).
