Ethiopia and the European Union (EU) signed two financial agreements on July 17, 2015, worth 190 million Euros for the support of Ethiopia’s road sector and safety net programs, the Ethiopian News Agency reported.
Ethiopia and the European Union signed a financing agreement amounting to €36 million (1.17 billion birr). The agreement is part of the climate change budget supporting program, report reveals.
Semereta Sewasew, Ethiopia's State Minister of Finance and Ben Depraetere, Chairperson of the Board of EUBFE (European Union Business Forum in Ethiopia) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the launch of the Business Climate Report – 2021 event that was held on April 6, 2022, at Hayat Regency Hotel, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The MoU is said to foster cooperation between Ethiopia's Ministry of Finance and the private sector, and create mechanisms to disseminate best practices and facilitate close consultation to promote mutually beneficial objectives and collaboration between the two parties.
The government of Ethiopia and France on Thursday signed two loan agreements amounting to 70 million Euros to support construction of high-voltage transmission lines and sanitary landfill, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
