Ethiopia Working to Improve Logistics, Transport, Deputy PM Says
Ethiopia is working vigorously to improve its transport and logistics services, Demeke Mekonnen, Ethiopia's Deputy Prime Minister said. Mr. Demeke said this is part of an effort to cement strong global economic relations.

With a vision of placing Ethiopia among the top 100 ‘Doing Business’ ranking countries by 2021, the national committee led by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, comprising key government entities, is conducting a review of the key reforms undertaken over the past few months towards creating a conducive business environment.
Ethiopia has secured over $1.89 billion from exports during the first half of the Ethiopian fiscal year that started July 8, 2021. The amount has shown an increase of $322.5 million, 20.5 percent, compared to the same period last year.
