The CEO of Ethiopian Shipping and Logistic Services Enterprise, Roba Megersa, said the enterprise was renovating dry ports including Kombolcha, Mekelle, and Semera ports, with a view to lodging import-export commodities which pass right through Assab and Massawa ports.

The Ministry of Mines announced that Ethiopia has fully replaced imported coal previously used by cement, steel, ceramic and other factories with domestically produced coal, a move expected to reduce foreign exchange pressure and stabilize industrial supply chains.

Ethiopia substituted imports worth USD 4.85 billion with locally produced goods during the first nine months of the current fiscal period, according to Industry Minister Melaku Alebel.
Ethiopia is said to be the second-largest flower exporter in Africa after Kenya, with over 100 flower growers on 1,700 hectares, Anadolu Agency reported.
