Ethiopia Constructs 142,500 km of Roads in 26 Years, Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure

Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure (MoUI) revealed that approximately 142,500 km of roads have been constructed over the past 26 years. This was reported during the Ethiopian Roads Administration's (ERA) 7th annual road research conference, themed “Sustainable Road Infrastructure Development and Management through Research.”
Ethiopia is said to be top consumer Dangote’s cement from January to June 2017. Unaudited report of Dangote Group shows that the company sold 1.1 million metric tons in Ethiopia. Next on the list is Senegal with a consumption of 0.6 metric tons of cement.
Ethiopia’s focus on improving ease of doing business continues under the economic reforms the country is going through. The move, the Prime Minister’s office states, is to help create a conducive environment for businesses to start up and to also have access to finance.
